Day 11: Project 365

This is Gus, the most adorable, charming, ham for attention on the planet. I love this little guy.

(Second picture turned out really dark. I lowered the shutter speed pretty far and it still couldn’t pick up the contours of his face. AZIZ LIGHT!!!! Sigh, I wish he was facing the window)

Day 9: Project 365
I was opening up the sliding glass door to let some fresh air into the house when I noticed this little bugger. He was chillin’, catching some rays on the inside of my house. Needless to say I picked him up and had to take a couple of snap shots.
I’ve handled Salamanders in the past and they are usually pretty laid back. This guy was no different. Didn’t drop his tail or take off running for the longest time.
God speed little guy.

Day 8: Project 365
Been sick for a couple of days and didn’t feel like uploading anything. I’m a little bit behind but I’ll continue where I left off.
My turtle Dexter is super derpy. When I saw this photo I imagined him saying, “LOL WUT?”

Day 7: Project 365

These hands belong to a woman with a strength and tenacity that is other worldly. They are tough, calloused, yet tender and delicate. This woman is the glue that holds our family together.

Day 6: Project 365
Time seems to stop when I sit out on my patio watching the sun set behind the curtain of mountains. It’s like nothing else in the universe exists and I’m alone yet I don’t feel lonely. I can’t think of another way to describe it. It’s like I’m disconnected from everything yet connected at the same time.
I promise I won’t ever take it for granted because I know when I leave this house, I’m going to really miss these moments.

Day 5: Project 365
I was at the college today and saw these two girls walking and having, what seemed to be, a deep conversation. I don’t know who they are but I thank them for allowing me to share this moment with them.

Day 4: Project 365
My buddy and I went to grab a bite to eat here yesterday. I can’t help but think of all the times my buddies and I have eaten at Carl’s Jr. I mean, it was a tradition of ours for years. We would always grab the same booth too. It’s only been 10 years but it really feels like a lifetime since then.

Day 3: Project 365
While I was sifting through some old mail I came across this note I left for myself. I was pretty stressed out while studying for the GRE. I would write little encouraging things to remind me that the effort I put in will pay me back in spades and that this test wasn’t mandatory; it was something I wanted.

Day 2: Project 365
I was getting some sun after the gym today and I usually bring Dexter (my Red Eared Slider) out into the sun with me. He usually stays in a little clear container but I decided to let him walk out on the grass.
This is the first time he’s ever been on grass. He rather enjoyed it.

Day 1: Project 365
I figured there would be no better way to learn my camera and hone my skills than to do a project 365. With that in mind, I present Day 1.
I just got my gym membership and I’m excited to continue strengthening my body. I also have to “run” a lot of errands today, haha.
(Played around with the manual exposure setting increasing the shutter speed and adjusting the white balance for the sunlight)
